Welcome to my new post-wedding blog. For those of you coming from Altar Ego, my wedding blog, I realized it was time for me to move on over to a more blog-friendly platform--not to mention, it's free. For those of you who are just embarking on this journey with me, I hope you find this blog enjoyable and entertaining enough follow and tell your friends. The last year and a half of my life was focused on planning the perfect soiree for our dearest friends and family. Now that I'm not picking out flowers, designing programs or having the occasional tiff with my then fiance, I've really got to think of some other ways to fill up my time. Not that we don't have plenty to do. Our house is wreck. We still have wedding gifts in boxes and clothes from the honeymoon to unpack. I can't wait to figure out to work my new espresso machine. I'll get to all that in good time. For now, I'm taking the next couple of days to take it all in.
I didn't think marriage would be that different from dating and being engaged, but to tell you the truth, it is. There is something about knowing each day you will be with that person for the rest of your life. You have a partner, a mate and whatever life brings you, you know you have someone to share every good and bad moment with. I love being married, but I know it's hard work. We've only been married for two and half weeks and already we've had our first married arguments. Fortunately, my husband isn't as stubborn as I am and takes the adage "don't go to bed angry" very seriously. For that, I'm thankful.
So my friends, married life is great. We are loving every minute of it and learning something new everyday. Stay tuned for our fun, wacky and wild adventures. I'm sure there will be plenty.
Can't wait to read your new blog! Married life IS different from dating & being engaged, and it's hard to explain until you are there isn't it... but it's great.
